Frames "the Four Friends Fasting Painting Theory"

This paper is mainly centred on the the program of " the Song Dynasty styles or the Yuan Dynasty styles " that runs through the painting theory and criticize of Ming Dynasty, differences between professional painter and amateurish painter, the competetion of "Wumeng" and "Zhepai" etc, carring on some research and discussion of the fine writings " Si You Zhai Criticise Painting " by LiangJun He, theoretician of Ming Dynasty. In this thesis, an argue in the painting circles in Ming Dynasty about "the Song Dynasty styles or the Yuan Dynasty styles Painting which is more advantage" is launched as a main idea.Revolving around this main idea, the author analyse and study the original view in " Si You Zhai Criticise Painting", and divide the thesis into three parts, regarding the history of painting as the basis: the summary and appraisement of the old tradition ,the views and appraisement of the "Wumeng" and "Zhepai"at that time ,the influence on painting comment in later ages. It is hoped that through drewing the connection between several above- mentioned important problems in painting commenting of Ming Dynasty and this article, one can start with comparatively small angle and carry on some research and summarize, while discuss some individual views lightly.
