The manly aesthetical literature style, which was vigorous, majestic and high-spirited, was greatly advocated while the delicate gentle style was suppressed and shadowed in mainland in 1950s and 1960s. It broughtthe balance of aesthetical appreciation-----firm but gentle-----adestruction. Although the delicate gentle aesthetical style was partly delivered under the strong will of resolution in personalities and characteristics of some writers, it varied when influenced by the mainstream in ideology and its development stopped. Meanwhile, the delicate gentle style in literature in Taiwan was totally delivered and developed and was manifested obviously a different taste according to certain political reasons between Taiwan and mainland. Therefore, the article is going to discuss both the reasons and results of the delivery and variation of the delicate gentle aesthetical style through creative writing in both Taiwan and mainland in 1950s and 1960s.The thesis is divided into there parts:Chapter one is analysing the delivery and variation in the level of ideology and value judgments in the delicate gentle style in literature in both Taiwan and mainland through the description of human nature, daily life and female images.Chapter two is discussing the delivery and variation of the manifestation of delicate gentle style in literature in Taiwan and mainland in the melancholy mood in writing and the description of landscape.Chapter three is studying the reasons of the difference of the delivery and variation of the delicate gentle aesthetical style in Taiwan and mainland.
