Any activities which refer to one thing with the other thing can becalled representation. Therefore, similar to science, culture is also a kind ofrepresenting method, because both scientific activities and culturalactivities are depended on the usage of the sign. But science is amonosemantic representation, otherwise culture is ambiguous. The mode of representation is determined by the relation betweensign and thing, the differente relation between sign and thing defines thedifferente mode of representation. When relation between sign and thingis transformed in reality by technology, the form of the representation ofculture is also transformed. For sign, technology has extended thosetraditonal voices, writings and pressworks, the traditional sign hasdevelopped into contemporary technological medium. For "reality", thelimit between symblic function of symbol and applied function of generalthing turn to obscure, and then the form of representation of cultureultimate changed. In scentific language, the relation between sign and thing is one toone correspondence, but in traditional cultural language, the relationbetween sign and thing is ambiguous. When the meaning of sign sets freefrom the fixed contact with thing, each kind of sign can refer to any kindof thing, this kind of rhetoric method is called allegory. The contemporaryculture is one of allegorical type. The relation between sign and thing is basically decided by therelation between human and nature, therefore, the emergence ofallegorical cultre not only is the change of cultural style , but is the changof the relation between human and nature.
