Since the late 1980s, a new form of novel takes into shape as being written in the historical awareness and view, which is defined as the New Historicism's novel. It projects a new historical idea to the outside society, i.e. human nature. The paper investigates into the human nature of the New Historicism's novels from the texts of the New Historicism representatives such as, Mo Yan, Yu Hua. Ge Fei. It distinguishes human nature from that of the traditional revolutionary novels on the four aspects: context selection, story-construction, characters, as well as aesthetic expression.This paper contains an introduction and the body part, which is spread into four short analyses.In the introduction part, it firstly specifies the definition of the New Historicism's novel, as well as the differences from other types of novel, such as, traditional revolutionary novels, and story adaptations. Secondly, it discusses the value of human nature and human nature description to state clearly the importance and the necessicity to do this research. Lastly, it gives a simple structure of the paper.Part one: the existence of"human"in New Historicism's novels: found out at the edge of folk and history. The conceptions of folk and historical edge is made clear to the audience by the detailed analysis of human nature descriptions from the aspects of family ups and downs, countryside and villages ups and downs as well as the city suburbs.Part two: the illusions of the historical human natures: the narration construction that stresses on subjects. The"hometown"and"growing-up"are the two illusions that reveal the writers'own imagination as well its effect on the human natures. Part three: overthrown descriptions of heroes: it realizes human natures'return. Toward heroes, it diffuses historical heroes and virtual times heroes and perverts to common people. What's more, it describes the complexity of the common people's human natures even exaggerates and deforms human natures thus leads to the collapse of the heroes.Part four:"evilness"expressed in the way of aesthetics: it goes against the descriptions of the common"humanity". It analyzes human natures which is opposite to the traditional ways in that it extends the evil part of human natures, such as: violence, avarice, hostility. In this way, it reveals the attributes of the neo-historical novel aesthetics value.Through the rough comparison between neo-historical and traditional revolutionary novels, it indicates that the short period of 20 years'of neo-historical writing has made a great break-through from and above the traditional ways. Under the new historical situation, it reveals the truth that literature works creating must come back to the subjects, common people.
