"Three Stories from a Ming Collections" shaped many images of the characters, it involved different group of different social class of Ming Dynasty. Businessman, literator and prostitute are regnant in "Three Collections of Short Stories" which were written in Ming Dynasty. There are 31 pieces concerning of them among the totalled 41 ones. In this dissertation, we focus on these three types of protagonists, place them in the politics, economy and cultures of Ming Dynasty. At the same time, we tried our best to reveal the deeper connotations of this kind of characters and expand the area of study on "Three Stories from a Ming Collections" through the comparison with same characters of the cotemporary and former era."Three Stories from a Ming Collections", as the representative work of mundane people, described the newly arisen social strength, businessman, during the budding period of the new production relationship of Ming Dynasty and treated them as main characters. The author broke through the prejudice to businessman in traditional literary compositions, including both the positive and negative roles. The author using a commiserative and solicitudinous depiction shaped many vivid images one by one in appearance, mentality, morality, love and other aspects. The literators came into the field of popular story and became an important theme of "Three Stories from a Ming Collections". The author dredged up the characters, changes and cause of characters from the "dream of imperial examination" and "earthliness of literator". Prostitute is the most vivid image in numerous protagonists in "Three Stories from a Ming Collections". The author analyzed the everlasting artistic fascination of prostitutes in depth from both complicated characters and ideal of love of them.
