For Chinese students, passive voice, as one kind of grammatical terms, is not only important but also difficult in English learning, the main reason of which is that Chinese and English belong to two completely different language systems. English Verbs have different forms in active voice and passive voice, while the forms of Chinese verbs haven't any change in different voices and tenses. During acquiring English passive voice, Chinese students will make errors for the differences between the two kinds of languages. This paper analyzes these errors and tries to find out the reasons for making them, in order to give suggestions to English teaching.Based on three important theories in language acquisition: contrastive analysis, interlanguage and error analysis, this paper takes the method of questionnaire. The subjects are 60 students in senior 3 and 60 in junior 3 of Attached Middle School to Tsinghua University and 60 under-graduates and post-graduates in foreign language department in Shanxi Normal University , who are English majors. The total are 180. There are 5 questions in the questionnaire, which are voice transfer, multiple choice, translation and composition.
