Family Functioning And Students' Mental Health-related Research

There are three hundred and fifty senior high school students from random three high schools who were investigated with Family Assessment Device and Middle School Student Health Test in order to test the features of their family function and mental health conditions and the relationship between them.According to the research, I draw the following conclusions:1. The main problems existing in senior high school students' family are communication between family members, distribution of roles and emotional reaction.2. Schoolboys are inferiorer than schoolgirls in communication, emotional reaction and emotional intervention.3. It has different influence because that senior high school students' parents have different cultural degrees. It has difference because of fathers' different cultural degrees in roles, emotional reaction and control of behaviour. It has signifencant difference because of mothers' different cultural degrees in roles, emotional reaction.4. Senior high school students' mental troubles consist in anxiety about study, sensitive tendency and physical symptom. The biggest impression still comes from senior high school students' study, which results in mental problems of emotiom and sleep such asanxiety, sensitive tendency.5. There exists gender difference about senior high school students' mental health status. Schoolgirls' mental status are significantly inferior to schoolboys. We should pay especial attention and instruction to schoolgirls.6. It made a comparison between junior high school students and senior high school students about their mental health status, finding signifencant difference in anxiety about intercourse with people, solitary tendency , sensitive tendency, physical symptom, horror tendency and impulse tendency.7. It also made a comparison between junior high school students in city and in country about their mental health status, finding signifencant difference in anxiety about study, self-condemned tendency, sensitive tendency and horror tendency.8.
