Ban Zhao was a famous female historian and educationist in the East Han Dynasty. She came from an influential family, later, was called to mend the history of Han Dynasty continuously, for the good tradition that read and write history from generation to generation. Then as a seraglio teacher, she took part in the political activity in the East Han Dynasty. In the book "Nv Jie", which she wrote in her old age, assembled her main view of issues to women status , conjugal relation , family relationship, etc. It is the first book which advises women in Chinese history. The historical comments on Ban Zhao and "Nv Jie" are always interrelated, they are all quite disputed. This text explained Ban Zhao and her "Nv Jie " again, by utilizing the relevant literatures that handed down from ancient times and some unearthed literatures, described the family origin of Ban Zhao, the experience of her life and her important historiography achievements, the women view in the book "Nv Jie" which was influenced by men's superiority to women offer, woman competent view which is characterize by obeying, and family view which thinks better bend than break. Through the analysis of social state at that time, we should affirm its historic significance which is favorable to the progress of mankind, and its realistic function for the steady of family, some contents that she recommends are not totally " a set of chains on women' necks " as some scholars said, certainly ,a series of maintains which she put forward are feudal, there are its limitation and lagging behind, but investigate the current society, undoubtedly ,some Chinese woman traditional morals which running through, have their estimable places , and does not lose its influence yet so far. At the same time ,what need to pay attention to is that the impact of "Nv Jie " partly because of the choice from the times, not its own content which is rational or unreasonable.
