DaoQian was the most famous honorific title for a Buddistmork , who created poems in the Northern Song Dynasty . He was in close contact with a lot of writers , such as SuShi , QinGuan and ZhangLei , and was greatly influenced by them . His poetical works were in a elegant style , which manifested his appreciationg of the beautiful as a mork , that had been carried on from the morks , who wrote poems during the late Tang Dynasty. And also , these poetical works showed his interest as a ordinary writer . His work showed the style and features of the mork' s poetical works during it' s period of great prosperity .This dissertation makes a comparatively systematic study of the mork DaoQian . The thesis falls into three major chapters . The frist chapter summarizes the history of mork who created poems , and different peculiarities of their potical works in every periods . In the basic of several historical materials , the second chapter makes a textual criticism of DaoQian' s life , and the circle of his friends . And has basically makes the historical background that he wrote his poems clear . The third chapter makes a specific analysis of DaoQian' s poetical works . Including the range of subjects , the artistic style , the comparative research , the influence of DaoQian and the brief introduction of edition .The dissertation is hope to be of help to study a important aspect of the circle If poets in the Northern Song period .
