lnterlanguage theory is one of the most important theories in second language acquisition field. Interlanguage was established as learners' independent system of the second language which is of neither the native language nor the second language, but a continuum or approximation from his native language to the target language. This dissertation is going to study several key aspects of interlanguage theory and explore its application in foreign language teaching. The important aspects of interlanguage theory are definition, sources of interlanguage, main characteristics of interlanguage, error analysis theory, and phases of interlanguage. The study of interlanguage theory provides a new view for foreign language teaching and research. |
