| The annotation on geography is the greatest valuable and successful section of shiji zhengyi writed by zhang shou jie, it is approached from six angles in this article. In the first section, there are three particular features of the annotation on geography as compared with jijie and suoyin, recording thoroughly the source of place names and precise geographical knowledge, accurate and detailed geographical textual research, attaching importance to describe the geographical detail. Next, the content of annotation includes five respects, place names, physical geography, military and traffic geography, historical geography and the geography of concerning on a person. In the third section, there are six types of the method of geographical textual research, logic, reason, comparison, elimination, comprehensiveness and the method of giving evidence for ancientness in modern times. The relations between three annotations of shiji are probed into in the forth, reaching the conclusion that zhengyi dredges suoyin and pointing out that three annotations are not neglected because of their value. The problems and shortcomings of the annotation are made exposition and be analyzed in the fifth. After that, altogether 13 annotations are distinguished between right and wrong. At last, it is appendix of the article, inquiring into the sensibleness and appointment on history of zhang shou jie, according to material obtained from zhengyi. |
