This research probed into the correlation between death attitude and personal background and experience in contact with death. Aim to provide theoretical base for us to help juvenile erect materialistic concept, reducing physical and psychological problems result from fear of death, advocating neutral acceptance attitude toward death, that is thinking of death as natural course. Samples come from students majoring in nursing in some a technology branch institute in zheng zhou. They will be in school for three years or five years, some others are in retraining course. The research gathered 18 classes and 963 samples from 32 classes and 1727 samples.849 questionnaires proved effective. The information includes students' death attitude, personal background, experience in contact with death. The data was analyzed statistically with frequency, percent, mean, standard deviation, t-test, one-way ANOVA, one-way ANOVA multiple comparison, Fisher's least significant difference. The results are summarized as follows.Generally speaking, neutral acceptance ranks the highest among nursing college students' attitudes toward death, while escape-oriented death acceptance has the lowest tendency. The result shows that numerous nursing college students take neutral acceptance attitudes toward death.Five death attitude dimensions take on significant difference with changs of following variables.1.Fear of death: The nursing college students who with urban life, general health status, avoiding discussing death express higher fear of death attitude. 2.Death avoidance: In nursing college, the boyschool students , without suicidal thoughts , no touch with people who tend to commit , no touch with people who tend to commit suicide, not reading the articles about death, strong religious belief, avoiding discussing death express higher death avoidance attitude. 3.Neutral acceptance : The nursing college students who with urban life, no dangerous acts, frequent contact with media's reporting of death ,reading the articles about death express higher neutral acceptance death attitude. 4.
