In the study, the current situations ofjunior college nursing students in Ego State, Type A Behavior Pattern, Temperament Types, and Mental Health are examined firstly; Then, the relationship of Ego State, Type A BehaviorPattern, and Temperament Types with Mental Health are discussed, respectively.Results:I. Mental health condition of the junior college nursing students1. In the aspects of compulsion, interpersonal sensitivity and hostility, the junior collegenursing students are superior to the national college students norm; however, in the aspects ofsomatization, anxiety, phobia and mental disorder, the junior college nursing students areinferior to the national college students norm. In the aspect of mental health, the juniorcollege nursing students are inferior to the Chinese adults’ norm.2. Positive detection rate for the psychological problems of the junior college nursingstudents is35.1%. The positive detection rate for six factors, including interpersonalrelationships, obsessive-compulsive disorder, depression, anxiety, psychosis and terror, ismore than20%.3. In the aspect of somatization symptoms, the junior college nursing female students aresuperior to the male students; In the aspects of depression, anxiety, mental disorder and othersymptoms, the junior college nursing students from city are superior to those from country; There is no significant difference in the junior college nursing students of different ages and whether they are the only child or not.II. Ego state condition of the junior college nursing students1. The junior college nursing students account for the maximum proportion of relativelyhighest nurturing parent ego state (NP) score, that is,63.9%; the junior college nursingstudents account for minimum proportion of relatively highest controlling parent ego state(CP) score, that is,0.6%.2. Significant difference is shown for the junior college nursing students with differentgenders, source areas, and ages as well as in the aspect whether they are the only child or not.III. Type A behavior pattern condition of the junior college nursing studentsThe junior college nursing students account for the largest proportion of the center-Bnumber in the Type A behavior, that is,43.4%; they account for4.7%of the typical Type Abehavior while they account for18.9%of the typical Type B behavior.IV. Temperament types condition of the junior college nursing students58.5%The junior college nursing students account for the largest proportion ofbelong tothe sanguine temperament, that is,26.9%, following which, while41.5%is belong to thesanguine-phlegmatic temperament, that is,14.2%.V. Study over the correlation of ego state, Type A behavior pattern, and temperamenttypes respectively with mental health for the junior college nursing students1. There is a significant positive correlation between the controlling parent ego state andthe total score of SCL-90as well as factors except the anxiety. The adult ego state issignificantly associated with the total score of SCL-90, somatization, interpersonalrelationship, hostility, phobia and paranoia. The adapted child ego state is significantlyassociated with the total score of SCL-90as well as factors except hostility. The free child egostate is significantly positive correlated with SCL-90obsessive-compulsive disorder, hostility, phobia, mental disorder and other5factors. There is a significant negative correlationbetween the adult ego state and SCL-90hostility factor.2. There is a significant positive correlation between the TH (time hurry), the CH(competitive hostility), as well as the total of TABP (Type A Behavior Pattern) and the totalscore of SCL-90as well as each factor. 3. The choleric temperament and melancholic temperament are significantly positivecorrelated with the total score of SCL-90and each factor). There is a significant negativecorrelation between the sanguine temperament and the total score of SCL-90as well as theseven factors, including somatization, obsessive-compulsive disorder, interpersonalrelationships, depression, anxiety, phobia and mental disorder. The phlegmatic temperamentis significantly positive correlated with obsessive-compulsive disorder, depression, anxietyand phobia, but not significant in statistics with other factors.VI. Logistic regression analysis results of influencing factors on the mental health ofnursing students.1. Logistic regression analysis of SCL-90influencing factors, melancholic, TABP score,Adapted child ego state, Adult ego state, sanguine, choleric and phlegmatic enter into theregression equation, which accounts for23.2%of the total variance explained score.2. Logistic regression analysis of somatization influencing factors, melancholic, TABPscore, Adapted child ego state, Adult ego state, sanguine and choleric enter into the regressionequation, which accounts for14.2%of the total variance explained score.3. Logistic regression analysis of obsessive-compulsive influencing factors, melancholic,TABP score, Adapted child ego state, Adult ego state, choleric, sanguine and Nurturing parentego state enter into the regression equation, which accounts for23.0%of the total varianceexplained score.4. Logistic regression analysis of interpersonal sensitivity influencing factors, melancholic, sanguine, TABP score, Adapted child ego state, Adult ego state, choleric andphlegmatic enter into the regression equation, which accounts for20.5%of the total varianceexplained score.5. Logistic regression analysis of depression influencing factors, melancholic, Adaptedchild ego state, TH, sanguine, Nurturing parent ego state, phlegmatic and choleric enter intothe regression equation, which accounts for26.4%of the total variance explained score.6. Logistic regression analysis of SCL-90equation of anxiety influencing factors, melancholic, Adapted child ego state, TABP score, sanguine, Nurturing parent ego state andcholeric, enter into the regression equation, which accounts for18.2%of the total variance explained score.7. Logistic regression analysis of SCL-90hostility influencing factors, TABP score, choleric, Adult ego state, Adapted child ego state, phlegmatic, Nurturing parent ego state andmelancholic enter into the regression equation, which accounts for16.6%of the total varianceexplained score.8. Logistic regression analysis of SCL-90phobia anxiety influencing factors, melancholic, Adapted child ego state, Adult ego state, TABP score, and sanguine enter intothe regression equation, which accounts for18.2%of the total variance explained score.9. Logistic regression analysis of SCL-90paranoid ideation influencing factors, melancholic, TABP score, Adapted child ego state, Adult ego state, choleric and sanguineNurturing Parent enter into the regression equation, which accounts for11.3%of the totalvariance explained score.10. Logistic regression analysis of SCL-90psychoticism influencing factors, melancholic, Adapted child ego state, TABP score, sanguine, choleric, phlegmatic and Freechild ego state enter into the regression equation, which accounts for19.3%of the totalvariance explained score.11. Logistic regression analysis of SCL-90the other factor influencing factors, melancholic, TABP score, Adapted child ego state and Nurturing parent ego state enter intothe regression equation, which accounts for12.9%of the total variance explained score.Conclusions:1. There are some mental health problems among junior college nursing students.Significant differences lie in gender and native place while no significant differences lie inage and whether the one-child or not.2. The junior college nursing students whose NP score of Nurturing Parent iscomparatively high account for the largest proportion. The center-type B behavior Type students take up the largest proportion among thejunior college nursing students. 4. The sanguine students take up the largest proportion among the junior college nursingstudents.5. The mental health state and ego state of the junior college nursing students, Type ABehavior Pattern and temperament type are closely related.6.
