The development of modern music achieves some new creation to be the greatest extend crossing the most prosperous period in the 20th century. Composing music in the techniques of symmetrical composition has become a significant component part of modem music. Modernist music has recently had a tendency toward "regression" in the aspects of music composition and research since the 20th century. Especially in the composition practice of late tens of years, sense of humanism has strengthened,which reflects the unity of technique and humanity. With the aid of modem composition techniques and disparate skills, the modern composer has endowed his works with a technical breakthrough and a new concept and thinking method. Their sense of acoustics is adapted to the rapid development of contemporary mass media and information, which seems to represent the direction that a certain modem music goes after. Nevertheless, composition and research don't always synchronize. On one had, most research merely touches the experimental and documentary fruits of the 20th century. On the other hand, research achievement on the symmetrical musicology theory is hardly embodied in music structural symmetry such as pitch organization. To sum up, mainly based on the symmetrical musicology theory, the article The symmetry of modern art music the main theories as to symmetrical music theory foundation of pitch structure, the tone and nature of the phenomenon and the creative practice of symmetry associated with the arts, technology and composer in symmetrical applications.
