Xunyue Si Would Like To Study

In the history of the development of ancient Chinese thought, the Eastern Han ,Wei and Jin Dynasties period is an important period of social trends which changed from the traditional Confucian classics to the metaphysics. Since the Western Han Dynasty Emperor Wu proscribed all non-Confucian schools of thought and espoused Confucianism, the theory of the Confucian classics became official academic and the guiding ideology of feudal rulers, the situation had been extended to the middle of the Eastern Han Dynasty. In the late period of the Eastern Han Dynasty, eunuchs autocratic, corrupt officials, political instability, the traditional Confucian classics had no community development to meet more social needs. Many thinkers had traditional Confucian classics to expose and criticize, forming the Eastern Han Dynasty critical social trends, with Wang Fu, Zhong Chang Tong, Cui Shi as artificial representatives, Xunyue was also a famous thinker in that time, and therefore the study of Xunyue' s idea is very helpful for us to understand this social transition. From Xunyue' s ideological development we can sneak some of the ideas in this trajectory. The paper systematically discussed Xunyue' s ideas and its features.Part I briefly described Xunyue' s life social background. At the last years of the Eastern Han Dynasty, politically, the royal was becoming wane, eunuchs autocratic, political corruption. Economically, the tyrannical landowners had further developed, land annexation became serious , the country estate economic prospered and the social wealth distribution tended to large class seriously and the broad masses of working people were hungry, displaced, the growing social contradictions became serious. Faced with this situation, the scholar-bureaucrats lauched the clear-talking movement, they had severely criticized the corruptive officials and eunuch groups with a heavy blow. Some thinkers published books and articles to remedy social ills, formed a social critical thinking.Xunyue was an important representative.The parts II, III, IV and V, respectively, explored Xunyue' s philosophy, his theory of human nature, political ideology, and history view.
