Classroom teaching has been taken the significant position on the research for teaching Chinese as second language. In recent years, combination between teaching methods and learning theories as well as between teaching theories and teaching practice has become a tendency to the research for teaching Chinese as second language. Considered as a general guidance of teaching and also an opening teaching thought, the reciprocal teaching is based its researches upon the whole teaching process and highlights the efficiently flexible cooperation among the various elements of the classroom teaching, seeking the balance between the student-centered teaching and teacher-guiding teaching.The subject of this paper is the reciprocal classroom teaching in teaching Chinese as second language with the aim to discussing the interactive action between teacher and students, between students and students and between students and textbook. At first, the reciprocal teaching has been illustrated from three aspects, its theoretical base constructivism, its characteristics and its teaching principles; And then the paper comes to some elicitations through observing, describing, classifying and analyzing real classroom teaching from the time distribution in the process of classroom teaching; At last the paper analyzes some effective factors which influence the reciprocal teaching. The author hopes these studies will promote the reciprocal classroom teaching.
