Teaching reform in Solfege and Ear-training has been a concerned subject in recent years. In this paper, the author selected the sense of music hearing, a major part in solfege, as the studying object. Based on the present home and abroad situation, learning the advanced foreign teaching ideas, this paper is concentrated on the study and designation on music solfege and university teaching solfege training and methods. The basic task of Solfege and Ear-training is to train and develop listening and use this listening ability to musical practice. Hence, the importance of ear-training is self-evident. With the increasing attention on music education, salfege, as a basic training course, has presented a new form. When the German musicians were in China, for communication, some experts said: "The significance of ear-training is real music. It is part of music rather than an isolated training skill. Its purpose is to develop the students' clear consciousness to music and their ability to think independently." Musical ear-training must have the music skills training purpose, and it must have the methods of music listening and differentiating the musical notes. The teaching on solfege must base on the music works at whole. These methods have been put into practice in the Music Institute and it proves to be a great success in the past years. But most of the universities and colleges have attached little importance to the teaching reform and they are still persisting on the old skill-training teaching. As it is not associated with music works for music element ear-training teaching, it is boring, out-of date and has little to do with art practice. The ability to analysis music cannot be improved adequately. Therefore, university music ear-training has long been a problem. This paper has put forward a series of plans based on the present teaching condition. These teaching plans are based on the traditional music ear-training, inherited the characteristics of firm basic training, and add music works and notes as the new ear-training content, to make it easy to be accepted by both teachers and students. It can also help to improve the students' music thinking and help to develop the students' music quality and music esthetic ability. This paper first analysis the psychology of music ear-training, training elements and so on. Then combined the teaching and study from both home and abroad, it points out a new practical music teaching construction in university solfege. It also supplies some detail design and study in teaching contents and specific teaching links. It shows the proper place of solfege in teaching and ear-training and does some research in its value and significance of this brand-new teaching reform.
