This essay tries to discover the Minimalism aesthetics in Lin Zhaohua's experimental plays, respectively from three perspectives: acting, stage design and sound.Lin Zhaohua keeps transplanting Chinese traditional opera performance into drama acting, which is very unique in his works. From the perspective of Minimalism theory, his way of acting named"puppet and the puppeteer"is rich in objectivity and Minimalism approach to the media.Overall, the aesthetics of Lin Zhaohua's works are simple and strong, he cuts everything on stage down to minimal and experiments his unique acting techniques. Although the artist himself doesn't accord with any theories, Minimalism exactly matches his personal aesthetics and the way his play presents.
