Mr. Qian Zhongshu is an academic master who is well versed in studies in china and west. His later work Guanzhubian is profound, abundant in content, including various cultural areas such as literature, history and philosophy. This thesis organizes its literature theory, and rearranges them with system framework of modern literary theory. The subject is blank in this research fields, which is of great significance in comprehensive understanding his theory, comparative research of east and west, and research on Chinese classical literature.This thesis is in four chapters:The first chapter is about Guanzhubian's literary ontology. It discusses literature's independent character from the differences between the artistic reality and the life artistic, as well as difference between the author and the "I" in works.The second chapter is about literature creation. The first segment analyzes the motive of literature creation from writing a book energetically, impressing emotion, and entertaining. The second segment analyzes the emotional problem in creation. It consists of the aesthetic transference. Author must devote his true feeling if he wants to move the readers. The emotion is not that when it occurs, but that after creative design. The third segment analyzes the inspiration and mystical experience in creation. It consists of the great creativity of inspiration, and mystical experience brought by two kinds of inspirations called contemplation and fanaticism. The forth segment analyzes the relationship between matter, emotion and text in creation. It consists the difficulty in literary expression and artistic expression, that is to say the limitations of the words lie in his inability to fully express his meaning.The third chapter is about Guanzhubian's literature and art works. The first segment analyzes the language in works, including the relation between connotative language and complicated emotion, the result of limited words express limitless meaning, and the aesthetic effect brought by implicitly of the language. The second segment analyzes artistic figures in works, including the oriented principle of artistic figures and two image modeling named analogy and comparison, this being the case, literature art expresses emotion thought modeling image. The third segment discusses Qian Zhongshu's view of analogy.The forth part is about Guanzhubian's thought of literary appreciation and literary criticism The first segment analyzes the subject character of literary appreciation, including two different appreciative attitudes, calm and passion, as well as atheistic mental characteristic during appreciation. The second segment analyzes the relation between literary criticism and artistic creation, including the relation between skilled at creating and criticizing, and the function that literary criticism deals to formation of literature tradition.At last, this thesis analyzes the characteristic and method in literary and artistic questions, especially the method of "communication and comparison" and phenomenology.
