Explore The Moral State. Post-modern Context

For long ,there are tangled moral problems in peoples' lives .what the philosophers have done has nothing to do with this situation . Should we abondon the quest for moral or should we are indulged in literal games ? As a famous sociologist, Bauman has the perspicacity of sociologists, the depth of philosophers and the duty of intellectuals . From modernity and the holocaust ,he began a series of thinking and criticism of morality.In Modernity and the Holocaust, he criticized the contradictory of the modernity and he emphasized the feature of modern civilization. Equally, he criticized the outcomes because of the pattern of management of modern hierarchy. Bauman claimed that neither moderity nor hierachy was the reason of the holocaust. however, just we combine the modernity and hierachy ,we can comprehend these phenomena well. The hierarchy of modern reasonableness, the validity of modern science and the violence of country are universal and common factors. But just these factors undermine the possibility of the personal practice of morality.Bauman'postmodern ethics emphasized that how the inspect of postmodernists can provide a kind of new comprehension about ethics. In bauman's view, morality should take on responsibility for others. The contradictory of morality just the real meaning of morality, because moral life is a kind of successive and uncertain life. The world of postmodern is a word in which you can choose.And the choose must have a relationship with loneliness. At the same time, the world combines closely with the world comprehension of which undertakes the responsibility for others.Bauman thought the challenge of postmodern world was that if there was moral life in the world lacked ethical pattern and existed perplexed moral opinions. Bauman thought postmodern is not only the ruin of moral individual, but also the opportunity of his new life.
