Based on the main Shengqiang(voice and tune), succession situation and the current status of Jingzhou Flower-drum opera, the present researcher adopted the methodologies of Ethnomusicology and studied Jingzhou Flower-drum opera tentatively. This thesis is divided into three parts. The first part studied high tune-pattern and Qishui tune-pattern diachronically with qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis, which shed light on the vicissitudes of the musical configuration of Jingzhou Flower-drum opera. In the second part, the present researcher investigated the practitioners and non-practitioners to study the transmission situation among them. Finally, professional corps and folk groups of Jingzhou Flower-drum opera at its prevailing area were studied to get an overall picture on the current status of Jingzhou Flower-drum opera. |
