Just as his philosophical thoughts Sartre's literary notion pursues equally human freedom as its goal. Freedom is the core matter of Sartre's exreistentialism. Whereas following with either the transformation of times or cognition being deepened, Sartre's notion of freedom changes correspondingly. The transition from the ontology to latter practicalism happens, meanwhile his literary thoughts in turn translate from foregone phenomenological theory which takes imagination as key element to the social functional theoretics of literature emphasizing intervention, to which this dissertation intend to trim and analyse systematically. Firstly the study begins from Sartre's life experience and literature , analysing systematically philosophic and aesthetic basis of two notions , and anatomizes emphasizedly the origin of literature intervention. the article states the development of Sartre's literal theory is according to the perception of life and mirroring the real world. Hence Literature Intervention theory of Sartre exists in all his phenomenology and existentialism. Then point out, the study illustrates the presentation and development of this theory, showing that it has subjected to a significant change: from the narrow-sensed political intervention to a unspecific political content, potential and general intervention. This change performs a critical theoretical significance in the recognition of literary function. Furthermore, the essay takes the examples of Sartre' criticism of concrete writers and their works to prove the practical importance of his theory. And the essay illustrates his methods in the spiritual analysis of existism as well. In the last part, the author of the essay evokes thinking from some problems of Sartre theory and exchange views on some viewpoints in the academic fields.
