The Value Of Building A Socialist Harmonious Culture Thinking

The Sixth Plenary Session of the 16th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) put forward the proposal of building a socialist harmonious culture, Harmony and culture are much illustrated both in the traditional culture and also by Marxist classical writers, but the notion of building a harmonious culture is the first time to be put forward in history. Harmonious culture is the culture that considers harmony as its thinking core and value orientation, it integrated thinking, social beliefs, social habits, and social disciple and system. It includes the overall recognition and evaluation; it is the integral combination of social development and culture construction. At present, the building of a harmonious socialist culture is of great significance; it will enrich the development of Marxist theory of culture, and is beneficial to consolidating the people's ideological foundation of national unity to work together; it is also beneficial to promote the systematic economic and social development. It is of great benefit in solving social contradiction and promoting the cohesion of the people. Harmonious culture is the eternal pursuit of the Chinese communists, The expositions on culture in Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory and "Three Represents" important thought are all theoretical resources of harmonious culture. At present, to build the harmonious socialist culture, we have to do the following works well: First, to build the socialist core value system and uniting the national spirit force; second, we should adhere to the correct orientation, strengthening publicity, and create a good atmosphere for public opinion. Third,we should promote harmonious concept in society; fourth, we should nourish harmonious spirit and strengthen the ideological and moral construction.The full dissertation includes three parts: First part, the connotation and significance of harmonious culture; Second part, harmonious culture is the eternal value pursuit of the Chinese communists; Third part, the ways of building a harmonious socialist culture.
