Both Lu Xun and Qian Zhongshu make outstanding contributions in many aspects because of their talent creativity.Their liturature achievements full of meaning and deep thought have great influence,continuity and succession at present age,which become the important resourses in modern Chinese thought and culture arter explained continuously.Their novels are the sample of showing their liturature and aesthetic consciousness.Introduction: The consciousness,cultural standards,aesthetic trendancy and life experience displayed in Lu Xun and Qian Zhongshu's novels are different in approach but equally satisfactory in result.The study of their discourse of novel can help disclose the shortcoming of Chinese culture in the 20th century.The thesis is focused on the differences and similarities in cultural criticization and mental change in their novels,besides,the thesis also analying the meaning and hit of the comparison of their works.Part One: The Comparative Discourse Patterns.ChapterⅠIncisive criticism and difficult reconstruction.Lu xun and Qian Zhongshu criticized the collective unconciousness swallowing the individual life and false appearance rhroughly and deeply.Lu Xun whose novel world is like a"a national fable"criticized the socity to observe the life on the basis of nationality,while Qian Zhongshu analyzed life to criticize the socity by showing human difficult dilemma which is like a human fable.They both simplified the possibilities to the future but they didn't find a reasonable way to the ideal picture.Lu Xun's novel is full of struggles in dispair;Qian Zhongshu ridiculed the socity with self redicule.ChapterⅡ: Omniscient angle of view and mental introspection.
