As a means of communication of human being, language is an outcome of human's mental activity and a mirror to reflect a nation's culture. The simulant word in Korean language is a special vocabulary classification. It is formed in Korean people's long term of living and other nations cannot appreciate its special meaning.The main form of Korean simulant word is reduplicate, so the expression is rhythmic and easy to read. In meaning, it describes the state of actions or things. The simulant word makes the expression more vivid and visual because it is more descriptive than other words.Korean simulant word is seen and used frequently in daily life. But this concept does not exist in Chinese. It brings much difficulty for Chinese students learning Korean. Because of the importance of Korean simulant word, this paper discusses the property of this part of speech and does relative research in Chinese. Hoping it is useful to help Chinese students.This paper includes four chapters.Chapter One is a brief introduction on research purpose, objects and current results.Chapter Two analyses on the word construction property of Korean simulant word, gives a detailed analysis on its component and position in articles, as well as word structure and restriction of other components.Chapter Three is devoted to the counterpart between Korean simulant word and Chinese. Korean simulant words mainly equal to Chinese reduplicate adjectives and some Chinese adverbs. In addition, according to linguistic environment and need of expression, there are other counterparts to the simulant words. This chapter classifies the words and analyses their similarities.The last chapter draws a general eonelusion for the whole paper.There are still some flaws in this paper, better conclusions will be observed and researched in later studies.
