History walks gently under this clamorous society. Sometimes, when it has already covered a long distance quietly, people are still speaking in the old way. When they eventually realized that they were talking irrelevant to the subject out of a sudden and began to become deranged and chaotic in making every effort to adjust their positions, history had once again moved away from them. Poetry in the 1990s was indeed suffering from this hard-to-tell embarrassment and urgency. So it was inevitable for the then poetry standing at the crossroad to get confused, to crack, to be contradictory and unrest. This paper is written out of the perspective of "history-experience-text" after a systematically study of the artistic transformation and its significance in literary history of those pioneering poems in the 1990s for the first time. The whole paper is consisted of four parts. The first chapter is the summary of the concept of the 1990s' poetry and the research method. Chapter two will illustrate the argument between the "obscure poem" and "poetry of the third generation" in the late 1980s and seek the historical origin of the poetic transformation in the 1990s from the viewpoint of the relations between text and history. Chapter three is going to probe into the exposure of the utterance strategy behind the speech debate between intellectual writing and folk writing in the 1990s from the perspective of the history and personal experience. Chapter four will take the "the third way" as the point of penetration as to analyze the reconstruction of the folk writing camp in the new century out of the text and personal experience's point of view. The last chapter will focus on the inner relations and significance between the three arguments and 1990s' poetic transformation. In fact many new changes took place in poetry of the 1990's, which not only formed its unique aesthetic principles but also provided varieties of possibilities for the growth of contemporary poetry as well as held up the creative epoch in artistic history of new poetry. However, when it comes to poetry in the 1990s, a primary question would be: can it depend itself from the poetic features back in the 1980's? Can it show us the new aesthetic principles? It is the issue of the artistic transformation of poetry in the 1990s that this paper aims to deal with.Generally speaking, literary argument is mostly the intensive reflection of the conflict among all the literary trend during the transformation and so it is in the case of poetry in the 1990s. When we view beyond such phenomena as those slogans and declarations of the debate, we will find that these fights are essentially microscopic embodiment of poetic reformation and the mutual collision among all the aesthetic elements of the period. This is just the fundamental cause for me to take it as the key point for the study of poetic transformation.
