Xuan Zang "transforming Knowledge Into Wisdom" Theoretical Research

The thesis analyzes and researches the Xuanzang's theory of Transforming Consciousness and Gaining Wisdom, ravels the developing logic and explains the connotation of such theory, then makes clear the Buddhism's annotation of wisdom. Simultaneously, the text compares the theory above with Apostle Polo's sense of wisdom. With the contemporary angle of view, the paper seeks common points while reserving difference during the process of historical retrospect. Starting off from the Xuanzang's theory of Transforming Consciousness and Gaining Wisdom and developing with the Polo's sense of wisdom, the paper intends to find new method and visual angle in the annotation of the Christianism theory and to provide feasibility forbroad expansion of interlocution between Buddhism and Chistianism.
