Advocated By The End Of The Qing Agriculture Newspapers And The Modernization Of Agriculture

This article has mainly researched on the basic circumstance of the origination, development and dissemination of the agronomy publication in Late Qing Dynasty and Early Republic of China. And through the analysis of the publication characteristic and its influence, the paper attempts to seek the relationships between the agronomy publication and the Chinese modernization.Firstly the origination background and its process of the agronomy newspapers and periodicals are introduced. After the Opium War, China was forced to open the entrance to the west and the modem west thought and culture started to flooding in, and thus the complexion was formed which is the West Learning Spreading for the East. Among this situation the modem newspapers and periodicals taking as one kind of new communication media gradually entered into Chinese people's life. The agriculture is regarded as the foundation of building the country in China. Among the Thoughts of Attaching Importance to Agriculture in Late Qing Dynasty and Early Republic of China, One kind of social current was become which included learning modem agricultural knowledge from the west and developing modem agriculture. The origination of the agronomy newspapers and periodicals has been emerged as the times require under this background.In the second part the characteristics of the agronomy newspapers and periodicals and their contribution to the modem communication industry are introduced. Two kinds of publications with extremely representative characteristic were chosen to give a research, which are the Journal of Beizhi Agricultural Science and Agricultural Journal. Through the characteristics analysis of these agronomy publications, the positive meaning of their existence is affirmed. And then this article elaborated the contribution of the agronomy publication to the modem communication industry and pointed out its vital role on innovational spirit and modest attitude in scholarism, developing people's wisdom and exchanging information.The relationship between the agronomy newspapers and periodicals and the agricultural modernization is introduced in third part. In Late Qing Dynasty and Early Republic of China the agronomy newspapers and periodicals disseminated the western modem agronomy knowledge and the education thoughts, promoted transformation of the agricultural production modes from tradition to modem in our country and simultaneously also provided the model and the instruction for agricultural policy from all levels of governments. Therefore the agronomy publication plays the positive impetus role during the Chinese modernization process.China's modernization has provided the survival soil for the development of the agronomy newspapers and periodicals. At the same time, the origination and development of these agronomy publication has changed the information exchange modes which were formed during several millenniums development process of our country, disseminated the modem agriculture knowledge, promoted the development of the new communication media and accelerated the transformation of the agricultural production modes from tradition to modem in our country in a certain extent.
