The book of Qieyun(《切韻》)has an important status in Chinese phonetic history, it succeeds to former yunshu and leads to subsequent compiling of that, the people who study ancient Chinese phonetics regard it as a foundation when they trace that, and the people who study phonetic which is after Sui dynasty seek the root-cause through it.As the earliest whole edition of Qieyun,Wangsan(《王三》)provides us with the better phonetic materials,so we choose it as an object.Ancestors have studied it deeply, but they focused on exterior comparing mostly, for example, they studied Qieyun through Guangyun(《广韻》),and this behavior lead to many problems. This dissertation turns to interior study of Wangsan out of making up former defects, and we try to show the phonetic reality of Qieyun age through interior comparation.Choosing the fundamental unit-fanqie(反切)as an object, opening up the discussion by the view of medial, this dissertation try to reveal hidden phonetic reality through showing some irregular fanqie. This dissertation consists of following four parts:Part 1 is preface. To lay a good foundation for hter discussion, this part tries to set up some principle and indicate our methods for dealing with fanqie to make sure of their accuracy.Part 2 is going to describe the division reciprocal relation of beiqiezi (被切字)and fanqieshangzi(反切上字),fanqiexiazi(反切下字),meanwhile we will deal with some related problems.Part 3 is going to describe the reciprocal relation of open mouth and closing mouth what happens to beiqiezi and fanqieshangzi, fanqiexiazi, meanwhile we will also deal with some related problems.Part 4 is the summary of medial and some related problems what belongs to Wangsan. In this part, we try to summarize the principle of Wangsan through observing reciprocal relation of medial, and spread out our several pieces of principle when we set up database.
