This article is to research Piano Concerto No. 2 in G minor, which is written by Saint-Saens, a famous 19th century French composer and pianist. Starting with art figures and performance disposal, we made a detailed analysis and explanation of the works through the overall structure of the work, creative approach and musical language. By the study of the relevant theoretical knowledge and the experience of the works performance, as well as systemic analysis and synthesis of works in the general and special performance skills, especially this particular concerto genre, we attempt to expound the basic essentials and experience in the concerto for piano and orchestra, and provides some academic information and reference for researchers and performers.
