With the widening development of commercial activities, the linguistic features of commerce draw great attention to language researchers who therefore make further research on them. The linguistic expressions in the commerce texts reflect the features of commercial activities, featuring completeness, exactness, and fixed forms. However, fuzziness could not be excluded while widely existing in the commerce texts. As far as fuzziness in the commerce texts is concerned, it has not been paid much emphasis ever since. This thesis firstly introduces relevant theories of fuzzy language briefly, especially from the perspective of semantics, and points out that fuzziness is the attribute of language; secondly combining with commercial activities, the causes, pragmatic functions, important roles of fuzzy language in the commerce texts are analyzed by citing a great number of examples in the commerce texts, and a conclusion is reached that fuzziness in the commerce texts is closely related to commercial practice; finally by figuring out that the inappropriate use of fuzziness in the commerce texts will have a negative influence on commercial practice, the principles of using fuzziness in the commerce texts are summarized. Meanwhile this thesis serves as references to commercial practice.
