Suzhou Xishan Xu's Benevolence Of The Church Building Carving

The Xu's Renbentang located in the Xishan area of Suzhou. It's an ancient architecture that represent the feature of Song,Yuan,Ming and Qing in Qing Dynasty. More than 3,000 various carving components can be founded in this architecture. Its construction form as well as the carving decoration was full of the feature of native culture.This article start with the study of exterior factors such as politics, economy, geography and humanity, arrange and analyze the appearance of carving decoration in Xu's Renbentang. In order to study the subject, style and characteristic of Renbentang during various period, I have been doing some further research on the age and decoration of this architecture, by integrating the main character of the carving decoration on this ancient architecture in Suzhou at various period.I have utilized analogy as the research method in my study. By combining the factors of folklore and technology, I analyzed the culture feature of decorative art at Renbentang in Suzhou. Through the research, I draw the conclusion that the difference of local humanities environment is the main reason that the manifestation of the decorate art in the architecture in Wu would be different from the other areas. In the construction of modern urban environment, we cannot simply use the traditional mark, instead, we should unify the local humanities culture and the modern urban environment, only by this way can we avoid the the appearance of the undiversified city image.
