Interpretation Fourth Yangqin Ballade - Xi Shi Tears "artistic Expression

As a historical figures Xi shi has been put onto the opera stage and the theatre scene. But is it the first time interpreted by the dulcimer as a genre of music onto the folk music scene. "The tears of Xi shi" is a historical themes dulcimer ballad that has been created by professor Rui after "Wu qiao women","Wen cheng Princess into westbound" and "the feeling of fragrant Fei". This work has beautifully melody,magnificent momentum,rigorous structure,unique style,reasonable development and profusion skills. It Perfectly combine three important points which are Western composer's manipulation,the characteristics of folk opera and the plentiful skills of dulcimer. This paper mainly discusses the music forms, playing techniques and art processing of "The tears of Xi shi" in order to give a bit inspiration to dulcimer performers to feel the dulcimer and its music. There is a so-called sentence "Things can not be understood more profoundly unless you felt it deeply." The understanding and gnosis of life and music will be expressed by playing "The tears of Xi shi".
