When a certain social needs are not satisfied,or the desire for social relationships and the actual level of reality has a gap,people will have a sense of loneliness,and serious or long-term loneliness will lead o the extremely negative physical and mental development.Many studies on Loneliness have been done in western countries since 1970s.The progress of the development of this field is very quickly in China,but most researches just focus on questionnaire investigation and data collection.The intervention has been paid a little attention.In this study,a sample of 453 college students was studied by questionnaires.Mainly the factors of the gender,grade and the urban or rural influence on social skills level,temperament types and loneliness level,and the relationship between loneliness levels of College Students and temperament types,social skills level.So far loneliness intervention models against college students do not have a complete body intervention project at home and abroad.And the level of social skills will have an impact on loneliness,so this study recruited 16 college students whose loneliness was higher than others,the test group and control group of eight.According to self-confidence enhancing,cognition correcting,behavior Training of three stages,the test group was executed social skills training intervention for a period of eight weeks,and control group didn't do anything,aiming to investigating the effect of the social group intervention to reduce the loneliness level of university students.The main conclusions of this study are as follows:1.There are significant differences in sex,grade,urban or rural.Loneliness level of males was significantly higher than that of females.The loneliness levels of sophomore and junior students are significantly higher than that of freshman.The loneliness level of rural students was significantly higher than students from the city.2.Social skills level has no significant difference in gender,grade and urban or rural.Male students are significantly lower than that of girls in appropriate rejection and emotional support dimensions.Freshman is significantly lower than sophomore and junior students on emotional support.Rural students are significantly lower than urban students in active contacts and self-disclosure dimensions.3.Temperament types of the university students showed no significant difference in gender and urban or rural.Freshman is significantly lower than sophomore and junior students on the emotional level,who also is significantly lower than sophomore on activity level.It shows the level of temperament types may fluctuate with the change of environment and life events within a certain period of time. 4.There is significant correlation among loneliness level,social skills and temperament types.The level of emotional and social factors,the level of social support and self-disclosure factors can significantly affect the level of loneliness.5.Based on the cognitive behavior theory and Ian stage groups concept.New-integrated social group intervention can significantly reduce the level of university students loneliness. Through group counseling,the loneliness level of the college students is reduced,in more harmony with other people.6.The design of social intervention project is practical and effective to university students with higher loneliness level.After refinement and revision,it can be promoted and applicated for duplication in students work and advisory work.
