The Tang Dynasty is an important period which the Chinese phonetic development evolves, The FanQie is an important way to study Chinese Historical Phonology. Our research on the YinQie material of Dunhuang WenXuan manuscripts systermatically is to find out the Tang Dynasty's phonology phenomena, providing some foundational materials for the phonogy research.in Middle-Ages.This thesis is mainly from the sound class, the rhyme class, the intonation, the exceptional YinQie(FanQie phonetic notation)four aspects to conduct the research,By studing,we can reveal and explain the related phonology phenomena of YinQie of Dunhuang WenXuan manuscripts:1.The character began to be pronounced in an open-mouth way.2.The Shetou(舌头)and Sheshang(舌上)characters were all independent secondly, Occasionally they had the phenomena of HunQie,but those may be regarded as the ancient phonology of the vestiges.3.The Jing(精),Zhuang(庄)and Zhang(章)groups of ChiYin were coordinate to anothers;Cong(从),Xie(邪),Chuan(船),Shan(禅),those four Niu(纽)had the limited YinQie numbers,so they were coordinated temporarily.4.The HouYin:Yun(云),Yi(以),Xia(匣)were coordinate to another;Yun(云),Xia(匣) were mixed occasionally.5.The completely voiced initials were in the course of devoicing.6.The four initials and four divisions were completely;Kai(开)and He(合)had a clear boundary, but the labial words hadn't boundaries in Kai and He,HouYin's Kai and He are occasionally mixed.7.The first, the second and the third division of ChongYun,the first and the third division of TongShe,the third and the fourth division had the mixed signs, they generally appeared in the Dai Rime(代)Tai Rime(泰),Dui Rime(队)Tai Rime(泰),Tan Rime(覃)Tan Rime(谈) (the first division of ChongYun),Shah Rime(删)Shan Rime(山),Gen Rime(庚)Gen Rime (耕)(the second division of ChongYun),Dong Rime(东)San Rime(三)Zhong Rime('),Zhi Rime(脂)Zhi Rime(之)Wei Rime(微),Zhen Rime(真)Xin Rime(欣),You Rime (尤)You Rime(幽)(the third division of ChongYun),Yan Rime(盐)Yah Rime(严),Zhen Rime(')Deng Rime(登)(the first and the third division),Yan Rime(盐)Tian Rime(添) (the third and the fourth division),etc, simply the mixed degrees were different.Though the boundary in those rhymes was still relatively clear, but the characteristics of the coordinate and convergence in Rimes had shown the same tendency of Chinese development of phonology.8.The exceptional YinQie was mainly used to discriminate the glyph and the Phonetic loan characters, and the part of those belonged to the legible Lian-mian terms.
