From about 65000 entries in modern Chinese Dictionary the paper singles out 300 nouns that can be used as adverbials and investigates relevant syntactic, semantic and pragmatic linguistic phenomena when common nouns are used as adverbials. The paper describes the components of structure of"Nadverbial +V"and the features of the nouns and the modified verbs. The paper then discusses the collocation between the noun and the verb from aspects of syllables and meaning, the link intensity between the nouns and verbs, and the function of the whole structure of"Nadverbial +V". The explanation are given from perspectives of language history, economic principles and rhyme scheme as to the formation of structure of"Nadverbial+V".The paper points out that in modern Chinese nouns used as adverbials are not unusual with an increasing trend in recent language practice and are worth comprehensive research. The study reveals that disyllable nouns are of major proportion in nouns used as adverbials and the modified verbs are also mainly disyllable. There are different degrees of link intensity between"Nadverbial"and"V". The dynamic of"Nadverbial"is in direct proportion to the similarity between the noun and the adjacent elements.
