Ralston's "natural Theory Of Value" And Its Revelation

Natural value is an important concept in ecological ethics; it is also a theoretical puzzle in the process of constructing ecological ethics since its inception, "natural value" becomes the focus of the debate in ecological ethics. However, a different understanding and definition of natural value will directly affect the construction of ethics, "natural values" related to the conception of ecological ethics, and we can find theoretical support for the ecological ethics, and this theoretical support relates to the developing. It can be said he is the master of the theory of natural axiology.Studying Ralston's theory will help us to analysis and understand this complex concept of "natural value" .and that will benefit the construction and improvement of ecological ethics.This paper discussed three aspects, the first clarify natural value of traditional Anthropocentrism and the content of the theory, this part point out the predicament that human faced during practical activities under the guidance of natural value of traditional Anthropocentrism, and Western ideas of ecological ethics centers of contemporary human and non-human center of both the natural values not with a systematic approach and carding briefly discussed.
