In recent decades, research of localizers in Manderin Chinese is characterized by the application of methods such as cognitive linguistics and lexicostatistics, etc. so the achievement is very rich. Compared with these, localizers of Early Manderin Chinese had developed thousands of years, but relevant research results seem to be overshadowed. The majority discussed would only stay on the surface, therefore it is not enough in both microscopic and macroscopic analysis.This dissertation attach most importance to language material of documents of Shui Hu Zhuan, with the main research approach such as lexicostatistics and diachronic contrast, and expect to give a concise description of the usage of localizers in Early Manderin Chinese.The introduction has proceeded with name of "localizers", genesis of this selected works. At the same time, it has reviewed relevant results of localizers, and summarized the nature of linguistic material.Chapter one is about semantic classification and diachronic contrast of representative suffixal localizers in Shui Hu Zhuan .Chapter two has examined the compound localizers in Shui Hu Zhuan, mainly probed into the origin of compound localizers and usage in Shui Hu Zhuan.Chapter three has researched syntax function of localizers and compound localizers in Shui Hu Zhuan.Chapter four is about diachronic examination of semantic classification , syntax and distribution.Chapter five reaches conclusion that Chinese localizers has developed for a long period and become a daily part of vocabulary.
