Talk About Opera Arias

Aria is the most common genre of vocality in the art of opera, which has a strong singing character and affecting cantus line. It takes on the mission which is to complete the mold of role by portraying human character, by expressing human emotion, and by exhibiting human conflict. It is the most fascinating and colorful part of the art of opera, is the specific reflection and the important composition of the charm of the art of opera.Speaking of the aria itself, it is of opera as well as of music. This paper starts its analyze with the basic character and the mutual connection of opera, music and aria by the function, status, meaning and feature which is presenting by the histrionic request and the melodious request. This paper not only has a para-position research of the relation between libretto and melody, but the analyze of the relation between the vocal part and the instrumental part of aria. My research helps us to explore the essence of aria more comprehensively. As a student of vocal performance and vocal teaching, I think these theories is helpful to my practice.
