Wang Yun Said Wen Province Whispered

Shengsheng is the special-purpose term of analyzing Chinese character. It means that to omit or reduce the shengpang of xingshengzi. As one of supplementary regulations of liushu. For phonology.It can provide many materials to study ancient phonetics in phonology.There are important meanings on studying in philology. Through it we can find some laws of the Chinese characters growing from first script on ancient bronze objects to Xiaozhuan. It can offer historical experience for the modern Chinese characters one are simplified . Arrangement work, can also offer the unique code basis for modernized machine translation.Many former researchers have already put forward their different ideas about shengsheng of shuowen. But now it has become an urgent thing to understand and distinguish the ideas and use them in contemporary studies. Till now no one has ever done it. I mainly studied the main points of WangYun on shengsheng , meaning to summarize his theory. I referred to the latest results of this study and developed the right ideas and concluded the features and regulations of WangYun's theory of shengsheng. My work is also seen as a sub-subject to Wangyun's study.WangYun ,one of the greatest authorities on Shuowen in Qing dynasty ,made special studies on shengsheng and put forward many valuable ideas which are summarized in his works "Shuowen shili" "Shuowenjudou".I based my study on Wang's research in shengsheng but put no emphasis on the characters of whose shengsheng wang mentioned little , because it was wangyun's theory that I studied but not Xushen 's or anybody else . In order to highlight the main points of Wang's theory, I compared his with those of DuanYucai's and others.First, I summarized the main ideas of the most important researchers in the history if Shuowen and pointed out their main contributions and shortcomings. We think the study didn't start with Xushen. he inherited the fruits of the formers and enlightened by Chinese characters whose shengpang weren't omitted. Xu is supposed to be a master in the studies on shengsheng in Han Dynasty. The scholars who studied Shuowen in dynasties Tang Song Yuan. were limited by the fact that the theory of phonology hadn't been put forward and therefore there were many shortcomings in their studies. However, DuanYucai, a great scholar in this area in Qing Dynasty attained many achievements, who enlightened the later scholars .but he, for the most part ,studied shengsheng from the point of phonology and meaning instead of from the point of characters itself, its development have shortcomings. so he left many problems unsolved. Based on Duan's achievements .WangYun studied Suowen and put forward the theory of shengsheng ,which is much better than the former .he is the one who studied the subject further and wider.Second , I referred to wang's explanation to shengsheng in Shuowenshili and Shuowenjudou and analyzed the theory to believed that his theory that there are four situations in which words of shengpang of xing sheng characters can be omitted is the objective summary of shengsheng and an Wobjective reflection on the influence of languages changes on Chinese characters .on the other hand ,he has his own drawbacks in his analysis of shengsheng. Limited by the materials he used and the inconvenience to search information , His opinions are not all right ,even wrong .We pointed them out in my essay and concrete analysis .At last ,compared with Duan's studies on shengsheng ,Wang's theory has two features .One is that Wang was able to take advantage of ancient characters especially those on bones or tortorse shells to study shengsheng from the point of characters structure. the second is that Wang was not only able to made a static analysis but also analyze its history and development ,both of which can reflect Wang's scientific viewpoints of Chinese characters.
