Chongwen in different units are described and exampled in section 7 of Shuowen Shili by Wang Yun. It is the part of Chongwen of Shuowen. Under the prerequisite of Chongwen not only Yiti, based on Chinese philology knowledge,study Chongwen in different units from Wang Yun exhaustively, show it has different characteristics in word and word. Based on this, compared with attached Chongwen, sum up the gains and losses of study it.Introduction, mainly introduces the status of topics and research purposes. Existing research focused mainly on attached Chongwen. The lack of research about Chongwen in different units from WangYun and some mixed reviews exist all the time. So it is necessary to study Chongwen in different units, treat it scientifically and comprehensively. It also can be a supplement to Chongwen of Shuowen.The first chapter, the views from Scholars about Chongwen and the views from WangYun about Chongwen in different units. Chongwen not only Yiti from attached Chongwen. In the analysis words of Chongwen from WangYun, there are also some not about Yiti.The second chapter, the analysis of Chongwen in different units from WangYun. we take 192 Chongwen in different units as the object of study, through the Shuowenjiezi, shuowenjiezizhu, hanyudazidian and tongyuanzidian, and find it have 114 Yiti, 39 Tongyi, 14 Gujin, 4 Tongjia and 21 Tongyuan. They all have the same function except Tongyuan.The third chapter, based on the analysis of Chongwen in different units, from the relationship between words studying of Yiti, Tongyi, Gujin, Tongjia. And the relationship between word and meaning studying of Tongyuan to evaluate it.
