In recent years, Hospice Care has been promoting vigorously. It is a very common phenomenon that the religion is applied to Hospice Care in Europe and the United States, which has developed a comprehensive and systematic clinical practice.In the field of Palliative of Taiwan, there are many Buddhists participating in Hospice Care, with the wisdom of Buddhism in life and death, and clinical care to help dying patients and their families, which is vigorously promoted by organizations such as Ciji Hospital, Hospice Foundation of Buddhism Lotus, Pingdong Association for Hospice Care. While there is less Buddhist spiritual guidance in Hospice ward of hospitals in the mainland. How to apply abundant Buddhist knowledge with wisdom of life and specific operating system, like reading lection and dealing with dying of Pureland Buddhism, the spiritual cultivation order and super-sacral rites of Tibetan Buddhism, to the clinical practice of Hospice Care, is the focus of this study. The study, fully learn from Palliative of Taiwan in introducing the concept of religious resources and achievements, aims at providing dying counseling model for the mainland Buddhism.In my opinion, we should learn more from primitive Buddhist Scripture records on the cases that the Buddha counseling the dying. Ahanjing, is just a complete primitive Buddhist Scriptures on the ideological disciple and the activities of the Buddha and his students. Some scholars believe that reading Ahanjing is the only way to experience the real personality. The study centers on the cases that the Buddha counseling the dying in Ahanjing, analyses literature and related materials, combines with Palliative of Taiwan's introducing the concept of religious resources and results, and is supported by the field investigations.Papers content is divided into five parts,First, the introduction of this paper outlines the framework. The paper carries up the situation of domestic and foreign research, states the motivation and purpose, scope of the study and methods, keywords, etc.Chapter 1 Introduction to Hospice. Introduce Christian Hospice and Buddhist Hospice.Chapter 2 Analysis of the cases of the Buddha counseling the dying. Introduce Buddha's view towards life and death, and provide reference for contemporary practice of Buddhist hospice.Chapter 3 Exploring bereavement counseling in Ahanjing. Introduce how Buddha counselling the bereaved families. Chapter 4, the contemporary situation of Buddhist Hospice Care. Mainland of China: on the one hand Buddhist quietly doing hospice care, the medical profession on the other hand do not permit the implementation of religion. Taiwan: Buddhists have entered hospice care hospitals since the establishment of the Lotus Foundation in 1994. Abroad: Tibetan Buddhist groups have set up aid agencies, to provide services for dying patients and their families.Chapter 5, Case studies on contemporary mainland Buddhist hospice. Investigate Baiyunsi hospice care hospital of Taiyuan, Shanxi.Finally, Conclusion. It mainly includes: the introduction of Buddhism resources into the dying rooms of hospital, the construction of contemporary Buddhist hospice care.
