Since 1949, the situation of higher dance education in our country has changed a lot. Distinguished national dancers and talented dance workers are striving for the improvement of our national dance business. With the development of globalization, the more we concern about the advanced education system, the better education production we can get. In this dissertation, the author picks NASD and the department of dance of Ohio state university as main objects, which contain two important angle of views, from macroscopical aspect and microcosmic aspect respectively.The study clue of this dissertation is like this: first of all, the author studies the policies and member managements of NASD( National Association of Schools of Dance) ,and then follows a case study of the department of dance of Ohio state university. In the third section, the author attributes this kind of pattern to three aspects: culturaly, educational systematicaly and educational theoretically. In the fourth part, comparative methods are applied to study the common grounds and differences between the higher dance education of China and America. In the final part of this dissertation, the author suggests many ways to promote the education mode of higher dance education in our country.The introduction part of this article reveals the backgrounds, methodologies and object of overall study. The background part is clarified from social, academic and personal aspects. In the method part, the author introduces the mode study method, comparative study method and literature study method. All above are the main ways that the author manages. In the end, the author puts forward the study object of this dissertation.The fist section of the dissertation mainly presents the influence and function of NASD, additional, the author reviews the administration operation and membership managements of this institution. NASD's powerful managements make it a typical policy constitutor of all-american dance education. The second part of this article focuses on the case study of the department of dance of Ohio state university. The author concentrates on several factors and gives detailed presentation.In the third part , the author concludes the higher dance education mode of America and tries to figure out the reasons. In the fourth part, the comparisons are carried from four main aspects. In the last part of this dissertation, the author analyzes the current situation of higher dance education in our country and lists six strategies which might be helpful in improving our dance education mode. In a word , we should constitute a distinctive dance education system of our own.
