Dance is one of the main ways and means to achieve aesthetic education,and one of the distinctive features it exhibits is to enhance and improve the aesthetic nature of students.Dance aesthetic education has an irreplaceable and important role in promoting students’ overall development and comprehensively promoting quality education.With the official promulgation of the Opinions of the General Office of the State Council on Comprehensively Strengthening and Improving Aesthetic Education in Schools,various units and parts have started to make comprehensive deployments for deepening aesthetic education,and higher vocational colleges and universities have to make corresponding changes and reforms for the implementation of aesthetic education.However,there are still some problems in the implementation process of higher vocational colleges and universities in regards to dance aesthetic education courses.Taking XX Vocational Technical College as an example,this paper uses a mixed research method to conduct a random questionnaire survey on the dance students of XX Vocational Technical College and a random questionnaire survey and in-depth interviews with its dance teachers to focus on the current development status and the causes of the current situation of the dance aesthetic education curriculum in higher education institutions and further explore the development path and countermeasures of the dance aesthetic education curriculum in higher education institutions.This paper firstly elaborates the basis of selecting the topic,the purpose and significance of the study,the core concepts,the current status of the study and literature review,and the research design for the implementation of dance aesthetic education curriculum in higher education institutions.Secondly,taking the dance course of XX Vocational and Technical College as an example,we analyze the curriculum of dance aesthetic education,the teaching resources and conditions of the aesthetic education course,students’ perceptions and attitudes towards the dance aesthetic education course and the teaching staff of the dance aesthetic education course.The main conclusions are as follows: firstly,the curriculum of dance aesthetic education in higher vocational institutions is not reasonable and lacks contents that match with the majors and social needs,which leads to students’ lack of learning motivation;secondly,the teaching resources and conditions of dance aesthetic education courses in higher vocational institutions are not perfect,which limits the diversity and innovation of teaching methods and reduces the teaching quality;thirdly,the students of dance aesthetic education courses in higher vocational institutions have insufficient knowledge about dance aesthetic education,and the lack of basic knowledge and appreciation ability related to dance affects the learning effect;fourth,the teaching team of dance aesthetic education courses in higher vocational institutions is insufficient,and the teachers’ professional level and teaching experience are not rich enough to meet the teaching demand.Based on the above problems,the analysis summarizes the corresponding specific solution measures.Through the research on the problems and countermeasures in the implementation of dance aesthetic education courses in higher vocational institutions,the author hopes to provide relevant thoughts on the construction and development of dance aesthetic education courses in higher vocational institutions.
