In this paper, the vision's different culture manifestations were taken as research background and fields, the image in the field of Chinese classical aesthetic culture and the visual culture as the objects of comparative studies, common character as articulation point, the selective analysis was established in diversity, including "opposing boundaries" between them , social insurance and the cultural survival modeThe thesis can be divided into the following four major parts:In the first part, defined the concept of image and summed up its characteristics .In the term of image, there are three forms,"the original image","the philosophic image"and"the aesthetic image". Seeking common ground while accepting the existing differences, summarize the aesthetic characteristics of images , such as "endoscopic", "holographic"and "vital".In the second part, defined the concept of vision and summed up its characteristics .Its development is ongoing and its function is varying from records, education , entertainments to cultural information and so on. The main work was summing up characteristics of modern and post-modernity. These provided the basic theoretical premise for the next main comparative analysis. The third part was carried out according to the relation of "integrated homology" and "opposing boundaries" between images and vision. They both derived from "primitive watch" and consistent with "primitive watch", so they were homologous. On the other hand, they are opposite for the difference from the content, the way and the effect of our watching. The fourth part analyzed the social existence, the social consciousness of "integrated homology", the cultural survival mode that "integrated homology" reflected. Finally, proposed a piece of revelation about how to develop the visional culture in the contemporary era.Such a comparison for our study is not intended to "retro", but because with such a backward gaze we could trigger the underlying strangeness to the current culture to which we're turning a blind eye .We must catch out the abnormality behind the normal and the imprisonment behind the liberty. And then proposed the criticism on the current culture.
