Horinger Han Tomb murals and Phoenix Mountain Han Tomb murals are the most typical representative of the tombs murals in South-central area of Inner Mongolia,especially the exquisite murals and rich contents of the tomb,which have attracted the attention of archaeologists and historians.The murals cover the life of the tomb owner and the good longing for life after death.The contents of the murals mainly include :farming drawings,grazing drawings,shooting and hunting pictures,caravan and horse trips maps,music and dance pictures,cooking plans Xiangrui pictures and fairy pictures,etc.Previous studies on murals in the two tombs have produced a lot of results.However,there are few comparative studies on the contents of murals in the Han tombs of Horinger and Phoenix Mountain.On the basis of predecessors’ research,this paper probes into the social productive activities and daily life reflected in the murals of the two tomb murals respectively,and analyzes the contents of the murals reflected.On the other hand,the author analyses the differences between the murals of Horinger tomb murals and the murals of the Phoenix Mountain Tombs,the frescoes of the figures in the murals and the ideas reflected by the buildings,in order to explore the differences of social life between the different ethnic groups in the same region.
