Analysis Under The Situation "in The Function And Role Of Theater System

In this article, the author started his investigation from the very basic term in theatre system ---"given situation". He tried to research it's origin and meaning in main languages. By means of words and illustration, the author demonstrated the acting role of"given situation"in theatre system and let the drama artists to rethink this word which is neglected.The author first started from his mother language--- Chinese. He discovered the meaning of these 4 characters one by one. Then he went on to other languages, like English, Japanese, because these language spoken countries have great achievement in drama. He researched its meaning in these languages and found its illumination and explanation in main works of dramatic theory. Also he had a brief review of the generation of this term and discovered its historical origin. Then the author summarized the practice meaning of given situation in variety of acting ways. He also expanded the functional field of this sharp weapon in drama creation; discuss the essential importance of"given situation"in today's Acting and Directing creation development.The author made a brief analysis and tried to find the reasons, by combining my learning experience from shanghai Drama and Theatre College and the current situation of the soul role of"given situation"at home and abroad on a variety of dramatic theater system. At the same time, the author summarized the theory of the functional role of the "given situation"in the theater system.Then he aroused drama artists, theater lovers and learners to re-recognize and re-think the importance of basic skills and basic theory.
