Poetry and music are well-known for their unique charm of art past and present, at home and abroad."Rhythmic beauty"fully embodies the essence of poetry and music. Poetry is provided with the nature of music and rhythmic beauty, which makes the common character of rhythmic beauty between poetry and music more obvious and clearer. Therefore, based on the theory of linguistics for English and Chinese, poetry, music culture and the pieces of research in the field of"poetry and music", this paper chooses the English and Chinese poems and the pieces of music as study object and"rhythmic beauty"between poetry and music as research angle, analyses the characters of phonetics, phonology and rhythm between English, Chinese poems and the pieces of music, and points out that it is related to the different sense of rhythmic beauty, which embodies the influence of native culture on the form of language and music, but poetry and music are from the same source, draws a conclusion that it is universal for the poetry and music in the field of rhythmic beauty.
