.16 Pf Personality Characteristics On The Performance Impact Of The Blast Furnace Foreman

The occupation of blast furnace foreman is one of the core profession in iron and steel complex, the performance of foreman have a major impact on profits. It has became a major subject for the managers on how to promote foreman with high performance and how to promote foreman's performance while working.This paper discusses the relationship of the personal character of blast furnace foreman and job performance, analysis how personality trait impact performance in certain business environment.This paper compares the difference between the blast furnace foreman and the norm of the adults and then analysis how 16 kinds of personality factors and the four sub-factors of personality of foreman affect the performance. In order to explain how the personality difference affect the performance of foreman, the paper takes the method of case study.The result show that the factor of exercise have significant positive correlation with task performance, interpersonal facilitation and overall performance ,the factor of stability have significant positive correlation with task performance and interpersonal promotion . Foreman's secondary character on the outward and inward have significant positive correlation with task performance, human promotion and overall performance. Foreman's secondary character of adaptability and anxiety have significant negative correlation with human promotion, adaptability performance and overall performance.The case study show that the personality difference affect the performance indeed. This study also showethat we must research the issue on particular environment.
