As the rapid developing of world economy, cultural industry has become the important industry in all the countries. Cultural trade also develops rapidly as one of the new trade forms. Cultural trade develops more rapidly than the world economy. The developed countries recognize the importance of cultural trade much earlier than the developing countries, so they have made many policies to increase cultural trade. Now, cultural trade more likely happens among the few developed countries.This essay first demonstrates what cultural trade is, then point out the characteristics of cultural trade. It analyzes the relationship between cultural trade and economic development from many angles. Finally, it points out that, Chinese cultural trade is poor, and it summarizes the reasons and brings forward some suggestions.The objective of the essay is to make people know the importance of cultural trade, and then encourage government and society to make joint efforts to develop cultural trade of China.
